Snowmobile safari to Van Mijenfjorden

Briefing, snowmobile, fuel, snowmobile suit, special boots, outer mittens, helmet, face mask or balaclava, driving goggles, expedition lunch, cofee/tea, insurance and tour leader with snowmobile, weapon and safety sledge.

We recommend that you wear warm woollen underclothes, warm outer trousers and a thick woollen sweater under your snowmobile suit. We also recommend that our guests pack extra clothes in their rucksacks, for example an extra sweater, cap and mittens. Do you use glases? We reccomend using lences while driving snomobile.

Regarding to the safety of the participants, we reserve the right to change the route in accordance with the weather and driving conditions. This will not affect the price of the tour.

The participant is obliged to ensure that the driver’s license is valid in Svalbard and Jan Mayen, and to contact the responsible authorities in case of any questions. The guide will check each passenger’s driver’s license and will refuse participation if necessary. No refunds will be given due to an invalid driver’s license.

Children under age of 8 years cannot participate. For those pregnant, please consult with your doctor before driving snowmobile. Driving under intoxication of alcohol is forbidden according to norwegian legislation. Liability insurance and rescue insurance is included in the tour price. All participants should have valid travel insurance. The cost of damages to the snowmobile and/or surroundings will be charged the driver if the driver has acted in a negligent manner.
To participate on this excursion, you must sign a waiver where you accept the regulations for the tour. A copy of this waiver can be sent to you in advance if desired.

Terms and conditions
Most of the activities require a minimum number of participants in order to be initiated, please look through the description of the activities. Note! Due to ice conditions, a complete boat programme will only be carried out from approximately beginning of July. Ice conditions vary from year to year, and it is therefore difficult to state precisely when the standard programme will commence. We reserve the right to change prices, the programme, minimum number of participants and departure times. Please note that weather conditions may affect the execution of some tours. Activities can also be arranged outside the programme scheduled periods on special request, dependent on a minimum number of participants specified by us.
Cancellation fees for activities
If cancelled 22 days or more prior to departure 100 % refund
If cancelled 22-8 days prior to departure 50 % refund
Cancellations less than 7 days prior to departure is a ”no show” and do not qualify for any refund. You may apply to your insurance company for a refund if you provide a medical certificate.
