Join us on a Puffin safari on Isfjorden with an open, steady Polar Cirkel boat. After getting well dressed we head out on the fjord to search for arctics own parrot, the Atlantic Puffin. The trip takes us east, further into the massive Isfjord, towards Diabas and the unique geology that creates the perfect home for our summer guests. In this small cliff we can find approximately 100 breeding pairs of Atlantic Puffins and the 10 double of Brünnich’s Guillemot. Here we will experience a rich bird life up close from the water. From May to the end of July, the areas around the fjord are bursting with birds that have migrated from all corners of the world. With some luck, you may also spot some whales along the way. Here on Svalbard we have approximately 10,000 nesting Puffins and the Puffins is one of few seabirds that thrives and increase in number. On this 4 hour long trip you get to see and learn a lot about Svalbard by a local guide.
