Join us on an evening bird and wildlife observation at the bird laguna close to the Isfjord. When the busy daytime has gone, the peace and calmness comes back to the bird laguna where many different birds are nesting. The Arctic tern for example, with the longest migration among birds in the world can be found here, as many other birds. Our guide will pick you up from your accommodation and we will drive you towards the coastline of the Isfjord. Here we will park our car and either take place in the wooden shelter to observe the wildlife or we take a short walk along the laguna to find the best spot for observing wildlife. We will take all the time to enjoy the evening under the midnight sun. All the birds, ducks and geese on Svalbard migrate at the end of summer, except for 1 bird, the Rock Ptarmigan. Maybe we are lucky to spot this special bird this evening. Our guide will keep a good look at the fjord. Sometimes Beluga's or a Walrus comes by to say hello. Also the Arctic fox is often seen at the laguna as it is a large foodsource for the fox. Enjoy this easy evening in the Arctic whilst we drink some warm drinks and eat some sweets.
