Join us for an exciting evening hike to the top of Blomsterdalshøgda at 320 meters above sea level, with a stunning view over the local area and Adventfjorden as our reward. Experience the rich history of coal mining in this area on Svalbard, where Coal Mine #3 can be seen from the summit, and the remains of the coal mining period are there as cultural heritage. We will start our trip at the Global Seed Vault to see it from the outside (as entrance is prohibited). Here you can learn more about this unique vault which is located deep into the mountain. After our visit to the Global Seed Vault we will slowly make our way to the top of Blomsterdalen. Along the way we will enjoy our scenery, be on the lookout for wildlife and will make sure to have enough stops for a warm drink some sweets and the chance to take photos. This hike is ideal for those who wish to do a shorter, but still challenging enough hike. Where the lowering evening sun will shine a dreamy light over the amazing scenery!
