Northern Lights Photo Safari

Northern Lights Photo Safari Aurora Borealis Experience | Photography 3 hours NOK 1350.-/pers. Small Group Guarantee: max. 8 participants About Experience the Northern Lights in one of the most unique locations on Earth, far above the Arctic Circle, where darkness, silence, and untouched landscapes create exceptional viewing conditions. After pick-up, we leave Longyearbyen and travel into the surrounding valleys, typically Adventdalen, where minimal light pollution and open terrain provide optimal conditions for observing the Aurora Borealis. Due to Svalbard’s position north of the auroral oval, the Northern Lights often appear towards the southern sky, offering rare and distinctive perspectives. The surrounding landscape enhances the experience significantly. Snow-covered valleys, dramatic mountain ridges, and vast Arctic skies create a powerful visual setting that is ideal for both observation and photography. Throughout the tour, we continuously adapt our route based on weather conditions, cloud cover, and aurora activity. This flexible, condition-based approach is essential in the Arctic and maximizes the chances of a successful experience. In addition to guiding, we provide hands-on support with camera settings and composition, ensuring that both beginners and experienced photographers can capture high-quality images. Even when the aurora is less active, the Arctic night itself, clear air, complete silence, and a sense of true remoteness, makes this a memorable and authentic experience. Important information • We take a maximal of 8 people (small group guarantee) • Even if we do not see the Northern Lights, the tour remains highly educational and informative, offering valuable insights into the Arctic environment, local conditions, and the science behind the aurora • Hot coffee, tea, toddy, and cookies are served on this trip • No child discounts apply due to limited space • Wheelchair users are welcome; folding wheelchairs can be transported (vehicle is not specially adapted) Activity Level Easy / moderate Pick-up / Drop-off Pick-up and drop-off at your accommodation included Private Bookings Available on request.

We will assist you in capturing the moment and that you can take home beautiful souvenir photos. Fun fact: The Northern Lights are mainly southern lights for us, as there is a good chance in Longyearbyen and the surrounding area that we will have to look south. Svalbard is north of the Northern Lights Oval.
