In Tempelfjorden you can experience polar nature as the old explorers and adventurers did several hundred years ago. If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the "King of the Arctic" - the polar bear - as it strolls around in search for food. We start the trip east from Longyearbyen, through Adventdalen on the frozen river delta. We continue through Eskerdalen and out into Sassendalen. From here we drive north to Fredheim, which was the trapper's cabin and home of one of Svalbard's most famous trappers, Hilmar Nøis (1891-1975). We cover approximately 120 km on this trip.
