The boating season is finally here and we head out with our closed rib boat to beautiful Borebukta to scout for walruses. The boat has room for 12 passengers and has a cabin with heating and toilet facilities, so you can sit comfortably in the transport to and from the destination. Borebukta is about 20 Nautical miles from Longyearbyen and has a beautiful glacier front that pushes forward towards the sea. Early in the season, there is also a good deal of sea ice in the bay where you can see both seals and walruses.
