You will meet our guide at your hotel. The guide will then take you out to the Trappers Station where the dog yard is located – about 10 minutes from town at the foot of Breinosa Mountain. You will be greeted by 80 excited Alaskan Huskies who are all eagerly waiting to take you on a trip. In this exciting environment you will be taught the basics of handling the dogs and help to harness them to the wagon yourself. Listen closely to the instruction, because everyone have to help out. It is two people to a wagon and whilst one is driving the other can enjoy the rich countryside of the arctic in summer. After the tour you will help the guide settle the dogs back into the yard before enjoying some hot drinks and biscuits in a traditional trappers cabin or outside in front of a bonfire, if the weather prevails.
