ARCTIC LUXURY 2-snowmobile adventure to Isfjord Radio Adventure Hotel We welcome you to Isfjord Radio Adventure Hotel as you arrive with fresh, red winter cheeks and your pockets full of new exotic impressions. Your home for the night is a warm and comfortable hotel, offering a quality level that you would not expect this far into the wilderness. Far off the beaten track you will find time to appreciate the silence and enjoy the special light that is only seen in Svalbard. The drive will take about five hours including stops for taking photos and outdoor lunch. You will feel rewarded as you arrive at your destination after a day out in the Arctic winter. It’s time to lower your shoulders and enjoy the hotel facilities before an exclusive homemade dinner. Day 1 10am: Pick up at your hotel / guesthouse in Longyearbyen. When all participants are gathered, we head to Basecamp's Expedition Center for information, safety briefing and distributing snowmobiles as well as warm winter clothing. The drive to Isfjord Radio is around 90-100km, based on the route choices. Exact time depends on weather and snow conditions, as well as the group dynamic and stops along the way. Expected arrival time at Isfjord Radio is around 3-4pm. You will have time to relax and explore the unique hotel and its facilities before dinner served at 8pm. Do let us know if you have any food allergies that we need to prepare for. Day 2 8-10 am: Isfjord Radio's tasty breakfast. After a good night's sleep, we get ready for the trip back to Longyearbyen. This is not just a transport run, this is part of the whole adventure. The guide sets today's route based on the weather and driving conditions. We leave the hotel at the far end of Kapp Linné behind us, and drive into the mighty landscape. Between steep Svalbard mountains, over frozen lakes and up and down glaciers, we are in the middle of an ice and snow-covered landscape. Along the way, we take a longer break with lunch, and the guide will answer questions and tell stories from the Arctic. We are back in Longyearbyen between 4 and 6PM.
